About event
The organizer of RIGA FASHION WEEK — the Baltic Fashion Federation announces the dates of the 32nd RFW. This fall, the main event of the Latvian fashion industry will take place from 27th to 31th of October, taking into account all necessary precautions.
The autumn session of RIGA FASHION WEEK will differ from all previous seasons, but the program of the fashion week will remain no less rich and varied. Among the participants are well-known Latvian fashion and children’s clothing designers. The collections will be shown in the Hanzas Perons building with due regard for the necessary precautions. Thus, the number of guests will be limited to four hundred, each of which will be "assigned" his place in the hall while maintaining a distance of 2 meters.
“To ensure the safety of the RFW guests, there will be a two-hour break between shows. This will avoid a one-time crowd of people and will give us time to ventilate the premises. Taking into account the sanitary standards, we will provide the guests with points for hand disinfection and take measures to disinfect surfaces,” says Elena Strahova, president of the Baltic Fashion Federation.
Another innovation of the coming Week is the format. Since fewer people will be able to physically attend the shows, an online broadcast will be organized, which will allow everyone from anywhere in the world to get acquainted with the new collections of Latvian fashion designers.
We remind, that the author and creative director of vintage fashion brand Volga Vintage Sergey Hatanzeysky has created an official image for RFW 32nd season that will be featured in print, billboards and on the Internet.
"We tried to create something special because so far no one has used vintage clothing to create RFW image. Thanks to a talented team and great teamwork, we have a vintage story that looks ultra-modern and very stylish — a redheaded princess (model Kristine, Moon Models) in an asymmetrical cut blouse from designer Anna Ledskalnina's (brand Anna Led) 2003 collection in the now-popular scarlet colour on a blue background, complemented by the 2003 collection," Sergey Hatanzeysky says.
The creative team behind the making of the image of RFW season 32 — photographer Asya Belova, makeup artist Beate Kudina, hairstylist Eduard Ghazaryan, and assistant Mikus Rendijs Vanderzels.
