About the event

On October 30, we invite you to enjoy jazz music from New York. The Peter Bernstein Quartet of America's acclaimed guitarist and composer Peter Bernstein will perform in a heartfelt concert at Hanzas Perons.

Guitar virtuoso Peter Bernstein has been an important part of the jazz scene in New York and abroad since 1989. Participated in countless recordings and performed with legendary musicians of different generations, released nine albums. The artist has participated in groups led by Jonny Rollins, Bobby Hutcherson, George Coleman, Lou Donaldson, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Fathead Newman, Joshua Redman, Brad Mehldau, Diana Krall, Lee Konitz, Jimmy Cobb and many more.

Peter Bernstein is currently working on a new Monk album with jazz musicians Doug Weiss and Bill Stewart. He has recently released a solo recording, Solo Guitar – Live at Smalls, and most recently the highly acclaimed P. Bernstein Organ Trio with organist Larry Goldings and drummer Bill Stewart.

Berstein created his latest album, What comes next, during the pandemic restrictions, with a question we've all been asking ourselves in recent years. About what it's like to live in a locked-down world, interspersed with political issues and protests in a crucial US presidential election year. About what's next. This album indicates a musical forward movement in a way that only the finest jazz can.

Peter Bernstein has been recognized several times in America's most influential newspapers.

The jazz guitarist, among the most sought after in the New York area, has a feather-light touch, an encyclopedic knowledge of chords and the ability to play standards like he's inventing them on the spot.
- The Los Angeles Daily News

Mr. Bernstein is a fluidly improvising guitarist in the post-bop tradition, with control over harmony and a beautiful sound.
