About the event
The dream of real romantics - the concert of the group "Kings of Convenience" in Riga already this fall! The Norwegian masters of acoustic intimacy will perform at the Hanzas Perons on October 22 this year.
“Magic cannot be conjured by clever calculation or the power of thought,” says Earland Eyje in a recent documentary about the group. And that's exactly what Kings of Convenience does. On October 22, "Kings of Convenience" will allow us to experience the magic of Hanzas Perons. This will undoubtedly be one of the softest, most beautiful and warmest concerts in Riga this fall.
"Kings Of Convenience" have returned after a long break - released an album and went on a long-awaited concert tour. The new duet album "Peace or Love", like the previous ones, is full of autobiographical and very personal songs.
As part of the tour, the band will give concerts in all three Baltic countries for the first time. They are expected in the Hanzas Perons on October 22; On October 20, the group will perform in Tallinn, Alexela Concert Hall, and on October 24 in Vilnius, Compensa Concert Hall. All three concerts are organized by the music agency "8 Days A Week".
"Kings of Convenience" truly enjoys both the stage experience and traveling to unseen places. Music is the basis of their friendship, and during concerts, they often stayed in the cities they visited, went on long walks to experience them, get to know them better, and who knows, maybe find inspiration for new songs.
However, the biggest inspiration for both is meeting their listeners. "I guess we are already quite demanding, because during our concerts you have to be able to keep quiet to listen, clap your hands when necessary, and start a wild dance if it's possible," the band says on its Instagram account about the magic experienced during the concerts, in which an almost telepathic connection between musicians and listeners.
