Novadu Ražas svētki (Regional Harvest Festival) 2026

For one Saturday, marking the arrival of autumn, Hanzas perons transforms into a vibrant celebration of local food culture. On 19 September, over 50 regional producers, gastro-artisans, and chefs from across Latvia gather for the annual Regional Harvest Festival — inviting residents and city guests to taste, discover, and bring home authentic flavours from every corner of the country. Admission is free.

Folk ensemble “Dārdaru muzikanti” sets the festive tone with live traditional music and dancing. Beyond the market tables, visitors can step into hands-on cooking masterclasses to pick up practical recipes and technique tips directly from local producers.

The festival concludes with the official award ceremony for the "Novada Garša 2026" food quality competition. Recognizing technical mastery and exceptional taste, experts will announce this year's top-rated local artisan and small-scale products based on rigorous sensory tests.
