On 28 September 2025, Hanzas Perons will host citāDs citāTs. BALSIS x GUSTAVO.

The concert program is based on masterpieces of world and Latvian popular music, presented in an unheard-of, new quality. The creative team brings together composers Valts Pūce, Andris Sējāns, and Uģis Prauliņš, GUSTAVO, the youth choir BALSIS, conductor Ints Teterovskis, sign language interpreters Ieva Solovjova and Elza Veismane, and soloists.

The first citāDs citāTs concert took place in 2023 and became a dazzling event that captivated both musicians and audiences, earning the Choral Music Award as Concert of the Year in Riga.

GUSTAVO: “Extraordinary collaborations from both sides mean stepping into the unknown. It is both thrilling and intriguing, because it is precisely in such circumstances that the most unexpected creative solutions and discoveries emerge, leading to a sound that allows us to view music and its message from an unusual perspective. It is inspiring. And that is exactly what our joint performance with the BALSIS choir will be.”

Ints Teterovskis: “A fusion of different musical genres inevitably creates something new, where the human voice is the main instrument – emotional, rich, and colorful. This year much brighter and more emotional – Joni Mitchell, Gustavo, Enya, Instrumenti, Kiss – so different, yet united.”

The concert will feature music by Avicii, Björk, Enya, INSTRUMENTI, Joni Mitchell, KISS, Peter Gabriel, GUSTAVO, MARANA, Valts Pūce, and Lauris Reiniks.

The concert is organized by the Music and Art Development Foundation “Balsis” and takes place with the financial support of Riga City Municipality and the State Culture Capital Foundation, as well as the support of KTMC “Mazā ģilde” and SIA “Balsis”.
